Our Mission

The mission of Smythe Academy is to provide an enriched educational environment for an ethnically and socio-economically diverse group of kindergarten through eighth grade students that emphasizes the arts, technology, and community service, and applies a holistic approach to education by involving the Parent, Community, and the Teacher in the academic and social development of the child using both standards-based core curriculum and assessment coupled with project-based instruction and authentic assessment.
