At Smythe Academy of Arts and Sciences (7-8), we continue to implement a PBIS program that focuses on improving important academic and behavioral outcomes through a multi-tiered, decision-making framework that uses evidence-based, positive interventions and supports. Our goal is always to promote a positive, safe, and supportive school climate for ALL students. Smythe Academy (7-8) was just awarded the Silver PBIS Implementation Award by the California PBIS Coalition, and we are excited to welcome students back this year with even more strategies to help build resiliency and coping among our student population as they tackle the challenges of the current pandemic as well as pre-adolescent life in general.
